I knew that each semester always unfolds different kind of stories and
feel.
4 months ago, I was wondering what Sem4 has in store for me.
If I have to sum up semester4 in 3 words, I'd say it was (
by far the most)
miserable,
torturous and
downright challenging.
Haha. I remember wishing for and anticipating the bloody end of it. The semester was really hectic (
what with so many obligations, responsibilities and assignments!) and I came out gasping for air and
not unscathed.
However, looking back, there were indeed
lovely things and moments wrapped together with those appalling ones. And so, if I have to go through those miserable times just to keep the good ones, I guess I do not mind them one bit. :)
Top 5 Highlights of Sem4 (in no particular order)1.
PROM and everything PROM
2. The
Rainy GLOW Moment and the many
GDOs (Girls' Day Outs, for the clueless)3. The
Something Special.
I'm keeping this to myself. :)
4. The
IAA66 + 65 bonding sessions
5. One word. Regiment.

JoeTheSlut said we're the team of the sem. Hee. :)

At the beginning of the sem, Ms. May (the lecturer. she's one of my fav!) asked why we chose "The Regiment" as our team name. We replied, because it encompasses our attitude: we're creative people with discipline and determination.
At least we try to be. Heh. :P

The original Regiment lineup: Anita, UncleTeck, Jadeylicious, me!
This picture was taken during our very first Regiment presentation, on BN's General Election IMC campaign.
(Overall, I think we've done like 5 or 6 presentations together)

And halfway through, Chingy joined us.

This was taken during our China Olympic's IMC presentation.

Being a Regiment was no easy feat, seriously.
There was a point of time when we had to go to college at 9am every single morning for meetings! When classes actually start at 12pm! :(
Yes, we were that gung ho!
And knowing me, I'm really not a work-morning kind of person. It wasn't easy dragging my heavy self off the bed when I knew I could actually sleep for another 2 hours or so, if only there wasn't a meeting!
There were also loads of late nights spent together, just to fit everything together to perfection.
The pressure and workload were purely insane and they were very much self-inflicted, I'd say. Haha.
But we had fun amidst it all, we really did.
Remember the GTS craze not too long ago? The Regiment (except me!) were bitten by the GTS bugs and even brought the obsession into our online meetings!

Our so-called online meetings. Not very productive, eh? :P

You can click on these pictures, to enlarge them. You'd see how I was being such a responsible Lieutenant. Haha! I so tak layan their silly antics k. :P
Esp UncleTeck, the silliest of them all! Hahaha.

The Regiment with NTRC and Ms. May during the presentation of certs.
It wasn't all smooth sailing. There was a huge glitch during our NTRC presentation, the final and most important one. We used up the 20 minutes given but didn't manage to finish presenting our campaign ideas. It was one huge blow because after all the hard work, the worst thing that could happen was not being able to present every single ounce of it.
To cut a long story short, we screwed up that presentation. But managed to redeem ourselves when Ms. May selected us anyway, to present to the client (NTRC).
(4 teams out of 8 were selected to present to client)
We sure kicked ass during that client presentation! :D

JoeTheSlut, UncleTeck, SassyAzian, me, Jadeylicious - with our hard earned certs!

The 5 teams narrowed down, to present to NTRC.
The best part of it all?
Regiment's stuff
will be exclusively exhibited during IACT's upcoming open day!
Wheee.
(Yay Regiment!)When we saw the results of our efforts, it was all well worth it!
Happy ending for us. :)
...
..
.
But oh, just one thing.
The next time round, please remind me to
think at least twice before teaming up with a bunch of insane perfectionists.
(5 perfectionists in a group, do you have any idea how severe the situation was?? :P)Heh. :P
But yes, I'd do it again. :)
